Anyway. I was really extremely stressed and depressed yet well-dressed a few days ago, namely Friday. It was a horrible horrible time for me. I have these three huge burdens on my mind right now, all very life-chaning, deep burdens! Decisions! I'm so bad at making decisions.... One decision involved my career/job/education, one involves my future/family/etc and the other involves my vanity/appearance/face. The last one is kind of shallow, but it just so happens to involve my health too, making it not as shallow. Oh well. I'm done worrying. I'm just tired of everything. I'm going to forget about everything for a few days, clear my
mind. Happy thoughts.
 
My thoughts & prayers are with everyone going through a hard time, esp those in Oklahoma. I hope everyone is safe.
 
Also, I have an iPhone 5 and I hate it...it's so long and annoying. #spring #summer

RANT. NOT A MAJOR RANT. BUT KINDA. Okay. I don't rant often *pat on my back* so here it goes.
AUGUSTUS WATERS has been cast (Ansel Elgort, a mightyyyyyyyy unattractive person if you ask me #sorry not sorry)as the SAME KID who plays TRIS'S BROTHER, CALEB PRIOR in Divergent. DO YOU SEE HOW WRONG THIS IS?!?!!? First, Shailene is gonna play Tris Prior in Divergent....her brother's gonna be Ansel Elgort. THEN A FEW MONTHS LATER, she's gonna be making out with him in The Fault in Our Stars?!??! I WOULD NOT EVEN MIND IF THE ACTOR WAS CUTE. But he isn't. He's not that other reallyreallyreally hot guy who everyone wanted to be Augustus. He's this little Ansel kid. No. No. Ugh. HE'S NOT JOSHUA ANTHONY AND THAT MAKES ME CRY. And who the bleep is Shailene Woodley in the first place to be playing these amazing characters?
AND I KNOW what John Green said on his tumblr about it but I don't care.

OKAY. I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE*. I HAVE CRIED THE TEARS. I have tried at least, I have been left extremely unmoved! :( So sad... I thought I was going to get really emotionally involved but I just couldn't? Like why don't I feel like it's the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME? I'm not overwhelmed with emotion or excitement or the evangelical zeal that John Green mentions in TFIOS....you know what I mean? Oh well, it's not that big of a deal. Still... Saturday April 13th: Bonfire on the beach tonight. Have a few drinks and amazing memories as we all stay up watching the stars in our bikinis and maybe catching that guy we’ve had our eyes on for a while...?

"Ugh, life is so unfair!" I pouted at Muffie, who was painting on rocks she'd found on the beach. We were secluded from the main group of people. I was depressed. Elise was ignoring me as if I'd done something to her...which was so untrue. I could never be mean to her! Or anyone! Besides, my Lukey was all the way in Germany.
 
Muffie looked up from her rock, stared off into the serene distance and sighed. "Actually, it's not really that bad."
 
"For you, it's not." I tried to cheer up but it was too hard. Luke was my everything. "And you know what makes it worse?"
 
"What?" Muffie put her paints and brushes away, rested her chin on her hands and stared up at me from the sand. I sat down on the sand next to her, the waves inching closer and closer to my feet every minute.
 
"He," I gulped, my eyes watering heavily, "He hasn't even called yet! How am I supposed to know if he's okay? Not a text, a call, anything."
 
Muffie patted my back, frowning. "Oh, I'm sure he's just having a great time and hasn't found the time to call you. He'll call you soon, though. Or...why don't you call him?"
 
A great time. In Germany. With people. And other girls. Girls. Ugh. Not good. "I need a crepe. A crepe would make it all better," I glided my toes across the sand over and over.
 
"Or....you could call Luke! Why wait for him to call?"
 
I mulled the thought over....I guess I /could/ call him, but would that sound too needy? Him and I'd only been together for a few months...
 
A tall brunette with wavy hair and a perfect smile walked over to us. "Hi, Muff," she said. Muffie stood up and hugged the girl.
 
"Hi, I'm Lydia. Your name?" I stuck out my hand for a shake.
 
"Natasha Miller. Nice to meet you. What are you guys doing over here?"
 
"Having a pity party..." I forced a laugh.
 
Natasha laughed too. "Who's the guy?"
 
My eyes widened. "How did you know?!"
 
Muffie shared a look with Natasha. "It's written all over your face, Lyds."
 
"Come on, you guys are missing out on the party. The bonfire's really fun. It'll make you forget all about that jerk." Natasha smiled.
 
"Luke is not a jerk. Maybe I'm the jerk. You know what, Muffie? I'm taking your advice. I'm going to call him."
 
She nodded, "Great, okay, you can do it, Lyds." She pat my back and ran off with Natasha.
 
I was alone. Again. No Luke, no friends, no.... I was wallowing in despair. Where was seizure-girl? She was a great listener. I needed to talk to someone. I knew Elise had recently had an "episode" or something, but she might have some advice? Right? Muffie was nice but I could tell she was getting tired of my moping...
 
"Okay. No more stalling. Just call him." I told myself. I reached for my phone. I clicked on his last text message, which was seven days ago. And he'd been gone for five days now. Or was it only four? I was so messed up without Luke.
 
I tapped his name and put the phone to my ear. Did I need a calling card to make a phone call to Germany? Germany was in Europe, right? Well...duh. I google-searched it just to make sure.
 
Then suddenly the weirdest thing happened. His name popped up on my screen. He was Skype-calling me! Right as I was about to accept the call, Alana bumped into me. "Ah! Watch where you're going!"
 
"Um, you're the one who bumped into me. I've been standing here for a long time."
 
Alana let a weird kind of giggle. "Oh, it's you, Lydia. What are you up to?"
 
"Nothing," I said quickly.
 
Alana looked at my phone. "Oh, you miss Luke already? How pathetic."
 
"I thought we were friends." I barely uttered, my voice getting warbled in the increasing wind. Goosebumps shot up all over my bare arms.
 
"Cold?" Alana asked.
 
"Yeah, a little." I shrugged.
 
"Ask your little Luke boyfriend if you can borrow his sweater." She scoffed and shoved past me, joining the bonfire.
 
Finally, she was gone. I didn't get what her problem was! I really thought we were hitting it off. Was I wrong about everybody?
 
Tinsley and a few other girls I'd only met once walked over to me. "Hey, Lydia! Why are you all alone. Everything okay?"
 
"Yeah, I'm talking to Luke!" I showed the phone to Tinsley.
 
"Yes! Awesome! I told you he'd call!" She gave me a quick hug.
 
"Thanks. I'll join you guys in a little bit!" I waved them goodbye. Finally. Time to talk to Luke.
 
Luke skype-called again. I hit accept immediately. "LUUUUKEEE!!!!" I screamed on the top of my lungs. Tears sprung in my eyes and I felt as if I was on fire. I hadn't heard his voice or seen his face in days! He hadn't been updating his Instagram so I really did not know how or what he was doing.
 
Instead of my precious blonde Luke's face appearing on the screen of my phone, it was a girl's face. A girl. A German girl. She had to be!
 
"Uhhh hi. Are you Lee-dy-aah?" The girl asked. She had an accent. She was definitely German.
 
"Yes? And who are you?" I barked.
 
"I'm Sonja. Wow. You are very pretty."
 
"What are you doing with Luke's phone?"
 
The girl had the blondest hair I'd ever seen, blonder than Luke's, and her eyes were a piercing green color. She had huge knockers and even bigger lips. "Lucas, you mean? Lucas is in the shower. I was just searching through his phone. He sure talks to you a lot. Are you hees girlfriend?"
 
"Uh, yes. And what are you doing in there? Are you two together? Alone? Is that the bathroom door behind you?" The tears were still in my eyes, but now for a very different reason.
 
"Yeah. Calm down, Lee-dy-aah. I was expecting you to be brunette. I was right."
 
"WHY HASN'T LUKE CALLED ME IN FIVE DAYS!?"
 
"It's only been four days. He barely arrived." The girl turned around and yelled at the bathroom door. "Luuuuucas, are you done yet?"
 
"This is not supposed to be happening. Who ARE you?! Luke is supposed to be at his grandmother or something's funeral!!" I was screaming at the top of my lungs.
 
Muffie rushed over. "Hey, what's going on?"
 
"Are you related to Elise? Because it looks like you're having a seizure now." Alana walked by, laughing loudly.
 
I looked around at everyone and I couldn't speak. Or think. I just grabbed hold of my phone and chucked it as far as I could. Into the ocean.
 
"What happened, Lyd? You can tell me." Muffie shook my shoulders, her eyes glazed with concern.
 
I let out a feeble, "I don't know."

Monday April 8th: Spirit week is starting today at West Beverly Hills, and today there will be a pep rally all afternoon, starting at 1, right after lunch. That doesn’t mean you can miss your morning classes, and the teachers will all be there, so be careful!

"Vous avez l'air magnifique aujourd'hui, mon amour." Luke whispered into my ear, sending me into a fit of giggles.
 
"I love it when you talk to me in French." I batted my eye lashes at him as we walked hand in hand over to the benches. There was a pep rally going on and although I was completely clueless as to what and who we were getting spirited up for, I was only there to accompany Luke Errington. "But please, no more, you're teasing me. I don't want to hear another word in French until I'm actually /in/ France." Going to Paris was my dream, a dream that I had had since age four, when I first tasted a macaron.
 
Luke, with his hair the color of gold and eyes shining an electrifying blue, simply laughed, staring intently into my eyes.
 
"Stop it!" I playfully hit his bicep.
 
A girl I had seen before once or twice, Alana, or rather Lani, walked by. She stopped right in front of us.
 
I was staring at her shoes--they were gorgeous Louboutins--when Luke turned my face and kissed me on the lips. I broke into laughter right after. "Why are you so amazing, Luke?" I scooted closer to him and he pulled me onto his lap.
 
That Lani girl was gawking at us as she scrolled through her phone, and tried to turn away. I would have said hello to her or something since it's always been my thing to be friendly and whatnot, but I was with Luke and eating up every word he said. How could I not? Someone in his family had died, a grandmother I think, and he was going to Germany to visit his relatives. He was leaving tomorrow. I had to cherish my time with him as much as I could, while I still had the chance. It broke my heart that he was going to Germany....a country /this/ close to France. And that he would be going for a solid month. A month! It was too much to think about.
 
I turned to him. "What am I going to do when you're gone, babe?"
 
"Skype me everyday, of course."
 
"Of course. But...what about...those German girls? I've heard they're really beautiful..."
 
He shook his head, smiling. "You really think I'd cheat on you? It's only going to be a month...and I'll be calling and skyping you almost every day."
 
"You said every day."
 
"Every day," he confirmed. "And you don't have to worry about anything. Those girls in Germany may be pretty, but none of them could compare to you."
 
I felt my cheeks warm. "Gosh, stop it, you're so charming I'm afraid you're going to charm the pants off every girl you come in contact with. I'm sure of it."
 
Lani put her phone away and addressed us. "You guys are so nauseating."
 
"No one asked for your opinion." Luke said quietly.
 
"Luke! Don't be mean. Lani just must be as captivated by you as I am. Am I right?" I stared at the girl out of the corner of my eye. "Who could deny it? I know I can't. I'm really into the whole blonde hair blue eyes thing."
 
"And so was Hitler." Lani deadpanned.
 
Hitler? "Who?" I looked up at Luke for an explanation. He was way smarter than me. Surely he'd know what Lani was talking about.
 
"You know what, forget it." Lani picked up her bag and swung it over her shoulder. "I'm moving seats." She left.
 
"Bye, Lani!" I called after her, which made her pause in her steps but she didn't turn around. "It was nice talking to you!" After she was totally out of sight, I muttered to Luke, "She is so sweet. I totally love her style. I forgot to compliment her on her shoes."
 
Luke said nothing.
 
"Oh, and what was she saying about Hitler? Wasn't he some emperor from Mesopotamia?"
 
"Babe, I think /you/ should be the one going to Germany," he laughed, playing with my hair.
 
I pouted, as confused as ever. "Hon, I think I'm going to go talk to that tall girl over there. Maybe I'll ask her to come sit with us. She is /so/ pretty, isn't she?"
 
"Are you testing me?"
 
I tried to hide a smile. "No, of course not. Okay, I'll be back in a second. It hurts me to leave you, but I can't stand seeing someone so sad."
 
I ran up to the girl who had just walked in. She had probably the most perfect hair in the world. "Hi, I'm Lydia! You have killer hair!"
 
She didn't seem to acknowledge my presence. After a few seconds she looked at me. "Uh...I'm Elise. Thank you."
 
"Hey, you should totally come and sit with us!" I grabbed her hand, getting ready to haul her over.
 
"Who's us?" She asked as I pulled her along. We passed by Muffie, one of my friends. I would have talked to her but she seemed to be engrossed in conversation with someone else. I made a mental note to talk to her later.
 
"Me and my boyfriend. He's really nice. Come sit with us!" I pointed at Luke and he waved back at us, grinning.
 
Elise stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at Luke and then at me. "I...um...I need to go."
 
"What? Why?"
 
"I have a thing. This thing. Sorry. I need to go." She let go of me and wandered off, getting lost in the crowd.
 
I shrugged and raised an eyebrow at Luke, who wasn't smiling anymore.

FYI: I know Lydia is really annoying and obnoxious and her fawning over Luke is petty and sickening...but that's how her character is. Hahaha I cringe at what she says too.
